COVID-19 & Dental Office Safety

At Enriquez Dental your health and well-being will always be our highest priority. Because of that, we are following the scientific recommendations for safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. We have used this information to create the protocols we are implementing in our dental office. We understand that we are likely to be dealing with this pandemic for the next 1-2 years. Knowing this we have been able to keep focused on adapting our practices to minimize viral infection risks for our patients and team members.

For your peace of mind, the measures we will be taking to provide a safe dental treatment experience include, but are not limited to, the following:

We are accountable to the same procedures and standards we ask of our patients. Because of that, we begin each day by screening ourselves for symptoms, taking temperatures, and thoroughly cleaning all surfaces and instruments.

We also take time to make sure we are up to date on the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Guidelines that help us keep our families and work environments safe.

Upon Your Arrival at the Office:

  • We ask that you arrive to the office with a mask on and only take it off during treatment

  • Patients will be screened BEFORE entering the clinical area temperatures and oxygen levels will be checked. Any patients showing signs of a fever or other symptoms of illness will be asked to reschedule their appointment.

  • Patients will then be asked to sanitize their hands

  • ONLY patients will be allowed entry into the office. Parents and other family members will be asked to wait outside whenever possible.

  • We ask that you only bring your keys, phone, and method of payment. Please DO NOT bring purses or jackets.

  • Patients are asked to wait in their cars or outside the office until their scheduled appointment time. Please let us know when you arrive, and we will call you when it’s time to come in.

  • The waiting area chairs are spaced apart to allow for 6 feet of distancing.

  • We will ask that you continue to practice social distancing measures in common areas of the office, including the front desk.

  • The front door and the door between the waiting area and operatories will be propped open all day.

  • There will be no physical contact with patients with the exception of treatment.

During Treatment

  • All rooms will be COMPLETELY disinfected before each patient is seated, and public areas will be cleaned and disinfected frequently throughout the day.

  • Our team will STRICTLY follow guidelines set forth by the CDC, OSHA, and ADA in regards to personal protective equipment (PPE) and office sterilization.

  • We have placed air purifiers with HEPA filters in the clinical area to help reduce aerosol droplets in the air.

  • Patients will be asked to pre-rinse with an antibacterial rinse prior to their treatment

  • During patient care, goggles or face shields will be worn by everyone and changed between patients.

  • All surfaces that came in contact with the patient will be wiped with disinfectant including the patient chair

 Checking Out After Your Appointment

  • We ask that you check out in the reception area behind the glass window.

  • After every transaction, the glass will be wiped with a disinfectant.

  • To limit contact, we now offer online payments via our website www.enriquezdental.com

  • All receipts will be emailed

We are proceeding with an abundance of caution, but we want you to feel as confident as we do that any visit you make to our office will be a safe one.

We also realize that many of you have been impacted financially during this outbreak, and we are offering solutions to keep dental care affordable for you and your family.

To discuss these payment options, schedule an appointment, or ask us any questions you may have about your next visit, please don’t hesitate to contact us at 703-378-4004.
